Spring could not have come soon enough. I feel like this season, winter felt incredibly long and dark, and my skin did not enjoy the harsh weather at all. Thankfully this month’s MINTD Box arrived at the perfect time (about 4 weeks ago now, oops) and even though the theme for March is ‘Spring Clean’, what this box did was breathe some much needed life back in to my skin and give it a mega boost of hydration and healing.
As many of you will know I have been a big fan of MINTD since their first box. There have been countless hits, a few misses (to be expected with any sub box) and lots of favourites, but this box is easily one of the best they have ever done. Usually I find a couple of products that I like, possibly one I don’t and then one (maybe two) that I absolutely love. In this case I love every single product. Not only that, the savings with this box is one of the best they’ve had. The value is a whopping £201, but the cost is just £70 for four full size products from amazing brands. That alone should have you running off to order one (here), but if you would like to know a bit more about the products before you do then keep reading. Continue reading
After thoroughly enjoying the first ever VH Awards in the epic and highly entertaining December newsletter, I have been itching to share my own favourites from last year. Despite everything that happened throughout 2017, there was one thing I could count on for a much welcomed distraction from the exhausting barrage of bad news and that’s exciting beauty launches! I think last year was an incredible one for skincare and I completely fell in love with so many of the new products that made their debut on the site. Continue reading
After practically a full year of seriously loving almost every box (I didn’t review all of them) from MINTD this year, I was still completely surprised by how incredible this box was when it arrived. MINTD did an outstanding job with the picks for the last box of the year and have just capped off an incredibly successful 2017 in the best possible way. The theme for December is ‘Enchanted’ and that’s exactly how I felt when I opened the cute little box. The forest green festive packaging is just beautiful, but the contents inside is what really got me. Continue reading

After being insanely excited about this NIOD launch for months, of course it would finally happen during my unplanned and longer than expected Insta-break in November. I had initially planned to write about it in time for launch, but that sadly didn’t happen and I am very sorry because I know how many of you were waiting to hear more about it. I got a lot of DMs and emails about CAIS2 while I was away, so in this post I want to address the questions that were asked, share my experience with the new formula and give a comparison to the 1% and 5%. Somehow it’s already the penultimate month of the year and the weather is fully autumnal. The clocks have gone back, the trees are losing their beautifully coloured leaves and it is cold, like really cold. So cold that I am sitting in bed writing this with an actual cold that I have had on and off for the past few weeks. Now is when my combo skin starts to lean towards the drier side of the spectrum, so this month’s MINTD Box and it’s perfectly timed “The Ultimate Winter Skincare Guide” is exactly what I’ve been needing. As we swiftly approach the penultimate month of the year, I think it is safe to say that 2017 has been tough on all of us in some way or another. For me it has primarily been the global events that have taken a toll. Between successive record breaking, once in a lifetime natural disaster events, the rise in white supremacy and police brutality, multiple mass shootings, frequent terror attacks, a legitimate threat of nuclear war and now the Harvey Weinstein scandal to name just a few of them, I just feel like the world is descending into actual and total madness. This box is a cozy night in dream and to have it during my favourite month makes it even better. I love this time of year because the weather starts to cool down, the night’s get longer and of course, the beautiful colour changes in nature just make the transition from summer to autumn so much more enjoyable. This is also when I really notice how long the year has been and suddenly I find myself feeling exhausted and craving cozy night’s in. The start of Autumn is my time to slow down, relax more and just recharge from everything that has happened over the previous nine months (and hasn’t it been a lot?!), so this month’s MINTD Box has been perfect for me.
