Spring could not have come soon enough. I feel like this season, winter felt incredibly long and dark, and my skin did not enjoy the harsh weather at all. Thankfully this month’s MINTD Box arrived at the perfect time (about 4 weeks ago now, oops) and even though the theme for March is ‘Spring Clean’, what this box did was breathe some much needed life back in to my skin and give it a mega boost of hydration and healing.
As many of you will know I have been a big fan of MINTD since their first box. There have been countless hits, a few misses (to be expected with any sub box) and lots of favourites, but this box is easily one of the best they have ever done. Usually I find a couple of products that I like, possibly one I don’t and then one (maybe two) that I absolutely love. In this case I love every single product. Not only that, the savings with this box is one of the best they’ve had. The value is a whopping £201, but the cost is just £70 for four full size products from amazing brands. That alone should have you running off to order one (here), but if you would like to know a bit more about the products before you do then keep reading. Continue reading
After thoroughly enjoying the first ever VH Awards in the epic and highly entertaining December newsletter, I have been itching to share my own favourites from last year. Despite everything that happened throughout 2017, there was one thing I could count on for a much welcomed distraction from the exhausting barrage of bad news and that’s exciting beauty launches! I think last year was an incredible one for skincare and I completely fell in love with so many of the new products that made their debut on the site. Continue reading
After practically a full year of seriously loving almost every box (I didn’t review all of them) from MINTD this year, I was still completely surprised by how incredible this box was when it arrived. MINTD did an outstanding job with the picks for the last box of the year and have just capped off an incredibly successful 2017 in the best possible way. The theme for December is ‘Enchanted’ and that’s exactly how I felt when I opened the cute little box. The forest green festive packaging is just beautiful, but the contents inside is what really got me. Continue reading

After being insanely excited about this NIOD launch for months, of course it would finally happen during my unplanned and longer than expected Insta-break in November. I had initially planned to write about it in time for launch, but that sadly didn’t happen and I am very sorry because I know how many of you were waiting to hear more about it. I got a lot of DMs and emails about CAIS2 while I was away, so in this post I want to address the questions that were asked, share my experience with the new formula and give a comparison to the 1% and 5%. This box is a cozy night in dream and to have it during my favourite month makes it even better. I love this time of year because the weather starts to cool down, the night’s get longer and of course, the beautiful colour changes in nature just make the transition from summer to autumn so much more enjoyable. This is also when I really notice how long the year has been and suddenly I find myself feeling exhausted and craving cozy night’s in. The start of Autumn is my time to slow down, relax more and just recharge from everything that has happened over the previous nine months (and hasn’t it been a lot?!), so this month’s MINTD Box has been perfect for me. One of the things I love about Victoria Health is how thoughtful they are with the brands they choose to launch. It takes a lot for Gill to add a new skincare line to the site and with the last one being The Ordinary, you know Lixir has to be something special to make the cut (spoiler alert: it is). I was so pleasantly surprised when the products arrived at my door a few weeks ago and have been so excited to talk about them since my very first use. Beyond the fact that this new brand is a millennial’s dream in terms of branding and packaging, it also has a lot going on formula wise and I have a feeling Lixir is destined for big things. Even though when The Ordinary had its surprise debut last year and caused a major commotion in the industry, NIOD have always been the original game changer in my books. I was already very familiar with DECIEM when NIOD arrived, having used Fountain since it first launched back in 2013, as well as Hand Chemistry (now The Chemistry Brand) and then HIF when that came along, so when Brandon Truaxe finally introduced his very first official skincare line I was more than ready to get on board.
