After practically a full year of seriously loving almost every box (I didn’t review all of them) from MINTD this year, I was still completely surprised by how incredible this box was when it arrived. MINTD did an outstanding job with the picks for the last box of the year and have just capped off an incredibly successful 2017 in the best possible way. The theme for December is ‘Enchanted’ and that’s exactly how I felt when I opened the cute little box. The forest green festive packaging is just beautiful, but the contents inside is what really got me. Continue reading

We have come a long way since the original 10 launches from The Ordinary back in September and what a whirlwind these past few months have been. There seems to be no stopping this industry revolutionizing right now and they just won ‘Best Anti-Ageing Brand’ at this year’s The Sunday Times Style Beauty Awards to top it all off. This is an incredible achievement for such a new brand, but completely speaks to the powerful impact it has made on the industry and on consumers like me and you. When Gill asked me to write a “definitive” review of all the products I was deeply honoured that she would entrust me with such an important task and couldn’t wait to get started on it because I know that many of you have been waiting for this. I have tested every single product for months now and want to not only share my experiences and results with you, but also give you an in-depth look into how each ingredient should work for you and what each product could do for your skin. This is an exceptionally long review, but it includes all 27 products currently available in the lineup. I wanted to have all the information in one place so you can keep it as a reference to learn more about an ingredient, specific product or decide which products to include in your own skincare routine. I hope this article will help you find the right products for your skin and make it easier to understand what you might need to be using and why. Continue reading

One of the things I missed doing while taking a social media/blog break was reviewing the MINTD boxes, especially after my disappointing experience with the January box (here) but now I am back with April’s curated selection and I am in love. I feel like ever since the new year MINTD have continuously stepped up their monthly picks and each box from February to now has just got better and better. This month’s theme is “The Upkeep” and the products included have been chosen to “perfect and maintain the balance of your skin”, which they have absolutely done for me. Unlike with previous boxes where one or two of the products were not for me, this box was a total winner and I am so excited to tell you all about it. Continue reading

Of course my first blog post of the year has ended up involving Deciem! While this was not the plan, it seems those sneaky monkeys have been keeping a pretty big secret from us, which I cannot keep from you, so here we are with the exciting reveal. When The White Company first reached out to me about trying their mysterious new launch I was pretty excited because I immediately thought “oooh, candles!” and oh, how wrong I was. Instead what arrived was a beautifully big white box full of……skincare! Yep, that’s right, The White Company are launching their very first line of skincare products and they partnered with Deciem to do it! Continue reading

To say this year has flown by is an understatement and the fact that Christmas is less than two weeks away just boggles my mind. The past few months have been incredibly busy and pretty stressful, so much so that I couldn’t review the amazing looking November box (here), but I am back to give you an inside look at the last Mintd Box of the year. This month’s theme is Christmas (naturally) and the box contains 5 full size products and 1 deluxe sample size designed to help you “relax, pamper and spoil yourself”. In this post I am going to review all the products in the current box and then take a look back at my favourite discoveries from the previous ones, because there have been quite a few that deserve to be highlighted and talked about again. It has been far, far too long since my last empties post (here), so brace yourself for an epic rundown of everything I finished up over the past few months. I love these type of posts because it’s so helpful to reevaluate my thoughts on a product once I’ve used it all the way to the end. It’s important to me to see if my first impressions still stand or if my feelings have totally changed, as it has done with some of these. Most of the products included in this post have been fully reviewed on the blog already, so this is just a brief final overview of my thoughts and experiences, a “last impressions” if you will, before the empty bottles hit the trash. Not everything here was used up by me and not everything was a success, so keep reading to find out which ones I loved to the very last drop and which ones didn’t get that all important “repurchase” seal of approval. Following on from my last post featuring Advanced Retinoid 2%, Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA that you can read here, today I am going to be talking about the brand’s first venture into facial oils and the gem simply know as “Buffet”. I think both of these are quite underrated and have been generally overlooked for the more “exciting” products, but both are brilliant and I can’t wait to tell you why, so let’s jump right in to it!
