Birthday Wish List 2016

IMG_9716

One of the things I love most about my birthday is the freedom to treat myself all month long (yes all month, hello Leo season!) without feeling guilty and what I unabashedly want most is more skincare. Yep, I love skincare so much that I have multiple categorized (cleansers, toners etc) and ranked (most wanted to casual wants) wish lists dedicated to all the beautiful products I can’t wait to get on my face, and this post is a look at the things I want right now. First Impressions: MINTD July Box

IMG_8704

Considering my well documented love of samples, travel sized products and basically anything beauty related in miniature form, it may surprise you to know that I have never subscribed to any beauty boxes. You’d think they would be perfect for someone like me, but I am extremely picky and the idea of having a bunch of random samples and sachets arriving at my door every month just gives me anxiety. Not only that, these days you can get a sample of just about anything from Sephora or any green beauty alternative (Credo, The Detox Market, Content Beauty) and most brands offer free samples when you order from them directly, so the idea of paying for samples (no matter how small the cost) just seems like a waste of money to me. March and April Empties: Part 1

IMG_6362

More than the just for the satisfaction of seeing everything I have used up, I love doing empties posts because as I’ve said before, I think it’s so important to reevaluate my thoughts on the things I use once they’re all gone. In this post is a huge collection of products I finished during March and April while travelling. It took a lot for me not to throw all this out on the go but I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to document my “success” so here it all is! Continue reading

When I first heard that OSKIA, one of my all time favourite brands, were expanding their brilliant Renaissance range to include a moisturizer (review here) and serum to go along side one of my all time favourite cleansers, it was just the news I had been hoping and wishing for. I had previously wrote to the brand more than once asking for those exact two products so I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was about these new additions. I was lucky enough to get a pre-release sample of the moisturizer in last year’s Cult Beauty Goody Bag but I only just got my hands on the serum last month and since then it has been total love. It was hard not to write a review of this sooner as so many of you were asking about it, but since this is a product meant to impact visible change on the skin, I wanted to give it time to actually do that and I can safely say that it definitely lives up to it’s claims and is now one of my hero products. Best of British: 001 Bespoke Hybrid Facial

IMG_5528

When Ada, the lovely founder of 001, very kindly invited me down to the beautiful Fortnum and Mason for a facial I could not have been more excited. I had first heard about the brand back in 2014 while watching the amazing Lisa Eldridge explain and demonstrate her facial massage routine (here) where she used the brilliant Eyecicle tool to massage her eye area. Ever since then I have wanted to learn more about the brand and last week I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to do exactly that and I can’t wait to tell you all about it because this is a brand you need to know about.
