More than the just for the satisfaction of seeing everything I have used up, I love doing empties posts because as I’ve said before, I think it’s so important to reevaluate my thoughts on the things I use once they’re all gone. In this post is a huge collection of products I finished during March and April while travelling. It took a lot for me not to throw all this out on the go but I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to document my “success” so here it all is! Continue reading
During this series I have tested and discovered so many new products/brands and while not everything made the cut, I loved so much of what I tried and in the post I have picked my favourites from the bunch, ones that I now consider absolute staples and would happily repurchase again and again. When I first heard that OSKIA, one of my all time favourite brands, were expanding their brilliant Renaissance range to include a moisturizer (review here) and serum to go along side one of my all time favourite cleansers, it was just the news I had been hoping and wishing for. I had previously wrote to the brand more than once asking for those exact two products so I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was about these new additions. I was lucky enough to get a pre-release sample of the moisturizer in last year’s Cult Beauty Goody Bag but I only just got my hands on the serum last month and since then it has been total love. It was hard not to write a review of this sooner as so many of you were asking about it, but since this is a product meant to impact visible change on the skin, I wanted to give it time to actually do that and I can safely say that it definitely lives up to it’s claims and is now one of my hero products. I am so excited to tell you about this month’s favourite products because it’s also a sneaky preview of what’s to come over the next few weeks that I can’t wait to get started. As some of you will know, I travel quite a bit and this month already I have spent about two weeks in England and now I am back in Europe again, but this time for quite a bit longer. Because of this, I have decided that from March I will be starting a “Best of British” series where I highlight some of my new favourite British beauty brands as well as review new products from ones I have used and loved for years. Not only that, as my travels will take me to multiple cities, I will also be including reviews of products from new and old favourite European brands because there is such a wealth of skincare goodness over this side of the world. So to get started, I will give you a very brief introduction to each product I have been loving lately but don’t worry – you will be hearing much more from all of these brands over the coming weeks. My love affair with Oskia began over two years ago with the release of their now cult product – the Renaissance Cleansing Gel. Since then, I have tried and loved multiple products from the beautiful line and in this post I am finally going to do a review of the cleanser that started it all, as well as the Eye Wonder Serum and the soon to be released Renaissance 360 Supreme Cream.
One of the things I love most about Oskia is their commitment to scientifically driven, plant based nutritional skincare. The founder, Georgie Cleeve, understood the need for both nature and science and combined both to create a thoughtful range of products that nurture the skin and actually work. Oskia are focused on healthy skin and all of their products are packed with vitamins, minerals, omegas and bio-actives to help their customers achieve the healthiest skin from the inside and out. There are no extravagant, unrealistic claims with Oskia and they fully acknowledge and advocate that healthy skin must be cultivated from within, but they also understand that what we put on our skin can really make a difference and their products definitely do that. Happy New Year, everyone!!! This is my third yearly Favourites but my first one on the blog and I am so excited to be able to talk about each product in more detail. Every product here has been my most loved/most used in their respective categories throughout 2015 and this time around it was so easy to pick my favourites – I just knew already. Even though some of these products are more recent discoveries than others, all of them have become firm staples in my collection that I reached for time and time again last year, so keep reading to find out why!
