Omorovicza Summer Skin Edit Series

IMG_8434

As many of you will know by now, Omorovicza are a brand I have loved and used for many years. It all began one Christmas when I received a beautiful set of deluxe samples and since then the products have become a constant staple in my routines. When they asked me to take part in their Summer Skin Edit series I could not have been more excited and humbled. It was a huge honour to collaborate with one of my all time favourite brands and I had such a good time shooting my picks. You can check out my edit on Omorovicza’s blog here and below is a full description of everything I picked and why. Enjoy! Continue reading

First Impressions: NIOD Non-Acid Acid Precursor 15%

IMG_6412

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Lactococcus Ferment Lysate, Bisabolol, Glycerin, Ethyl Linoleate, Hexanoyl Dipeptide-3 Norleucine Acetate, Myristoyl Nonapeptide-3, Yeast Extract, Soy Amino Acids, Pseudoalteromonas Exopolysaccharides, Lecithin, Sorbitan Isostearate, Isohexadecane, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Polysorbate 60, Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, Sodium Salicylate, Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Pentylene Glycol, Ethoxydiglycol, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin.

Originally I had planned to do a brief overview of the three newest products from NIOD but since there has been so much interest in this one, I thought I would single it out for a more in-depth ‘First Impressions’ post. NAAP is NIOD’s answer to the traditional acids and retinoids out there, which the founder Brandon Truaxe believes provide short-term value that is not worth the inflammation caused. This could not have launched at a better time for me because for the past few weeks I have drastically reduced my acid usage and surprisingly, but also not so surprising, the improvement to my skin is big. Since using NAAP I am so on board with the non-acid exfoliation movement and love how my skin behaves. Continue reading

March and April Empties: Part 1

IMG_6362

More than the just for the satisfaction of seeing everything I have used up, I love doing empties posts because as I’ve said before, I think it’s so important to reevaluate my thoughts on the things I use once they’re all gone. In this post is a huge collection of products I finished during March and April while travelling. It took a lot for me not to throw all this out on the go but I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to document my “success” so here it all is! Continue reading

When I first heard that OSKIA, one of my all time favourite brands, were expanding their brilliant Renaissance range to include a moisturizer (review here) and serum to go along side one of my all time favourite cleansers, it was just the news I had been hoping and wishing for. I had previously wrote to the brand more than once asking for those exact two products so I can’t begin to tell you how excited I was about these new additions. I was lucky enough to get a pre-release sample of the moisturizer in last year’s Cult Beauty Goody Bag but I only just got my hands on the serum last month and since then it has been total love. It was hard not to write a review of this sooner as so many of you were asking about it, but since this is a product meant to impact visible change on the skin, I wanted to give it time to actually do that and I can safely say that it definitely lives up to it’s claims and is now one of my hero products. An Introduction to Evolve Organic Beauty and Giveaway!

IMG_5192

I was first introduced to Evolve late last year through the lovely Swapna over at Beauty Motormouth and as soon as I decided I wanted to do a Best of British series, they were immediately at the top of my list of brands to feature. Evolve products are hand crafted in small batches in a little town just outside of London and are vegan and cruelty free. Founded by the incredibly talented Harvard Business School graduate Laura Rudoe (also founder of S5 Skincare and previously at NUDE skincare) along with Violaine Bargues (Production Development Management) and Freya Krauskopf (Studio Manager), these ladies have created a line of superfood focused, affordable, natural and organic products that are effective and beautifully formulated. Evolve only launched in June of last year but their small yet impressive lineup is well made, incredibly fresh and contains a high level of natural and organic ingredients. I have been so impressed with everything I have tried and I think Evolve is a great “little” brand doing big things in the green beauty world. Continue reading
