Ever notice how when your skin is freaking out, you pare back your routine to the bare minimum? Like me, you probably cut out strong actives such as acids and retinol, up the hydration and stick to only three-five products (or less) in a routine. Sound familiar? It is something I think almost everyone does instinctively and there’s a good reason for it – this just might be what our skin really wants from us. While it has become increasingly popular to acquire lots of products and perform up to ten steps per routine, most of us could very easily use way less and have better skin for it. Boring, I know, but it’s a truth I have finally accepted about my skin and it has made such a big difference. Continue reading
Spring is finally here and I could not be happier. Even though the weather hasn’t quite got the memo yet (edit: the past two days have been amazing!), the fact that it’s now still light at 6pm has made all the difference. I feel like I am ready to come out of hibernation and this month’s beautiful MINTD Box selection is helping me do exactly that. The theme for April is ‘Pause & Unwind’ and this is one of the most mindful and relaxing edits I think they have ever done. The wonder team have put together four full size luxuriously pampering products from some of my favourite brands and I cannot wait to tell you more about them. Continue reading

Spring could not have come soon enough. I feel like this season, winter felt incredibly long and dark, and my skin did not enjoy the harsh weather at all. Thankfully this month’s MINTD Box arrived at the perfect time (about 4 weeks ago now, oops) and even though the theme for March is ‘Spring Clean’, what this box did was breathe some much needed life back in to my skin and give it a mega boost of hydration and healing.
As many of you will know I have been a big fan of MINTD since their first box. There have been countless hits, a few misses (to be expected with any sub box) and lots of favourites, but this box is easily one of the best they have ever done. Usually I find a couple of products that I like, possibly one I don’t and then one (maybe two) that I absolutely love. In this case I love every single product. Not only that, the savings with this box is one of the best they’ve had. The value is a whopping £201, but the cost is just £70 for four full size products from amazing brands. That alone should have you running off to order one (here), but if you would like to know a bit more about the products before you do then keep reading. Continue reading
After thoroughly enjoying the first ever VH Awards in the epic and highly entertaining December newsletter, I have been itching to share my own favourites from last year. Despite everything that happened throughout 2017, there was one thing I could count on for a much welcomed distraction from the exhausting barrage of bad news and that’s exciting beauty launches! I think last year was an incredible one for skincare and I completely fell in love with so many of the new products that made their debut on the site. Continue reading
After practically a full year of seriously loving almost every box (I didn’t review all of them) from MINTD this year, I was still completely surprised by how incredible this box was when it arrived. MINTD did an outstanding job with the picks for the last box of the year and have just capped off an incredibly successful 2017 in the best possible way. The theme for December is ‘Enchanted’ and that’s exactly how I felt when I opened the cute little box. The forest green festive packaging is just beautiful, but the contents inside is what really got me. Continue reading

After being insanely excited about this NIOD launch for months, of course it would finally happen during my unplanned and longer than expected Insta-break in November. I had initially planned to write about it in time for launch, but that sadly didn’t happen and I am very sorry because I know how many of you were waiting to hear more about it. I got a lot of DMs and emails about CAIS2 while I was away, so in this post I want to address the questions that were asked, share my experience with the new formula and give a comparison to the 1% and 5%. Somehow it’s already the penultimate month of the year and the weather is fully autumnal. The clocks have gone back, the trees are losing their beautifully coloured leaves and it is cold, like really cold. So cold that I am sitting in bed writing this with an actual cold that I have had on and off for the past few weeks. Now is when my combo skin starts to lean towards the drier side of the spectrum, so this month’s MINTD Box and it’s perfectly timed “The Ultimate Winter Skincare Guide” is exactly what I’ve been needing.
